Blu Cigs may be the largest e cigarette company in the USA, and they have an incredible marketing team promoting their highly innovative products, so we had to get our hands on a Blu Cigs starter kit and see for ourselves. Read our Blu Cigs review to find out just how they stack up against the compatition.
Upon receiving the Blu Cigs products, we were not let down. The device arrives encased in an attractive black box with the Blu Cigs logo embossed all over it, and once you open it up there is a unique product inside that truly does stand out from the rest of the pack.
What makes Blu Cigs so unique?
It has a charging pack that allows e-smokers to charge their batteries on the go. You simply charge the pack in any supported energy outlet and insert your batteries in the appropriate slots so they can charge up. It’s that simple. The pack also has room for extra cartridges, making this an electronic cigarette that is easy to take with you.
The vapor that Blu Cigs vapor smoking devices produce is on par with every other e cigarette brand we’ve reviewed. We did read other Blu Cigs reviews posted online that communicated they did not think the batteries lasted as long as other brands, but that was not the case in our experience. Plus, even if the battery life was not on par with other brands, Blu Cigs makes up for it with the addition of the charging pack. It’s hard to see how anyone could complain about battery life of Blu Cigs when they have an easy way to re-charge the device anywhere you may be.
As far as innovation, nobody beats Blu Cigs.
A Blu Cigs review would not be complete without talking about some of the features that make this brand so much different from the rest of the competition. This was just reported in the New York Times and it’s circulating the internet very rapidly!
Blu Cigs has developed a “Smart pack” that can communicate with other Blu Cigs user’s. To explain further, the Blu Cigs new Smart Packs, which will debut in June of 2011, are to have a social networking device that allows one to find out where other people are that have the Blu Cigs smart pack. The devices emit and search for other smart packs, which encourages interaction. Some rumors state these new packs will have social networking type messages like “single,” “leave me alone,” and more signals which tell others of the current mood the user is in. While some people may think this is invasive and unnecessary, it truly is an innovative way to get people to talk to each other. I’ve read in another Blu Cigs review that people are having great success with this device but personally haven’t had any experiences where i met someone with the Blu Cigs Premium Pack.
Cigarette smoking is a very social habit, and many people have a hard time quitting smoking because they miss the interaction with others when they take “smoke breaks.” With electronic cigarettes like Blu Cigs, there is no loss of the social interaction that cigarettes provide.

Blu Cigs is a hip, up-and-coming brand. Their entire operation is run from North Carolina and no part is outsourced. We were able to speak with someone high up at Blu Cigs if we agreed to give their new social networking device a test drive in June. We’ll be updating the Blu Cigs review in June with that information.
The Blu Cigs Premium starter kit, with the social networking aspect, is just $10 higher.
Next up in this Blu Cigs review — cartridges. Blu Cigs does not offer any high caliber nicotine strengths, which for our readers is probably best! We’re all about quitting our addictions and since we review Blu Cigs to help people find a healthier alternative to their nicotine addiction, it’s good to point out that all Blu Cigs strengths are 16 mg and lower. Of course the end goal being to gradually go down to the 0 mg nicotine cartridges, we were happy to see the Blu Cigs devices perform up to our expectations.
It’s worth mentioning that the Blu Cigs cartridges are sold in 5 packs for $12.00.
The current line-up of flavors includes our favorite Cherry Crush, Magnificent Menthol, Java Jolt, and of course, Classic Tobacco.
As for our final judgment in our Blu Cigs review, we were highly impressed with both the presentation and the production value of Blu Cigs and would recommend them as a great way to quit smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes. Blu Cigs are absolutely terrible. The product itself never works properly, constantly losing charge, needing to be sent back to be replaced every 2-3 months. The send cartridges without any juice in them. The smoke juice is the BEST but that’s NOT BLU’S. That’s Johnson Creek. You can buy the juice off their site. Find another e-cig because this one is crap. Not to mention they have the worst customer service in the world. Their answer for everything is ‘wait’ or ‘it’s you fault, not ours’. They constantly send packages to wrong addresses and gets lost in the mail just about every time you place an order. (It can’t be the postal service if it happens every time and only with this company.) They make up excuses every time and make you feel like garbage. This is not just me either. I got several people started on blu’s and they’ve all had the same problems and have also stopped using them. People need to know how terrible they are, and find a better alternative. (Blu’s also have employees commenting on review sites to make them seem better than they are. Don’t be fooled.)

I mostly had positive experiences with blu for the past year.
But i must say their customer service is horrible.
I ordered a whole batch of cartridges, and the past 2 orders I placed were faulty and full of errors. The cartridges did not have juice in the, the battery I ordered mal-functioned, etc. Half of my money went to waste.
When I called them, they gave me the answer “wait”. After a week they still have not responded so I called again, and they told me their supervisor was out of the office: Well here’s the thing, he has been out of the office the past 3 times I called.
And then they started to tell me that I should’ve kept the faulty cartridges and that I should send them out so they can test it for quality purposes: Well SINCE WHEN WAS IT THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSURE the QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCTS?
I payed for their items, they were faulty, and they tried to make it seem like as if it was my responsibility.
Their product honest was very pleasing for the past year. But they are trying to add different things to their products, and instead of enhancing the newer one they seem to be lowering the quality of the already-existing products.
Their customer service is horrible, and I highly doubt that customers will stick with their products if the customer service continues to be the way they are.
